How to Break Out of Your Comfort Zone

8 simple steps from "Motivated Mike" that you can take to build your business and yourself!


#1 Practice Taking Risks
First, define what the RISK is to you. Picking up the phone? Giving your business 100%? Contacting friends? Start by tackling the one that you are LEAST concerned about on your RISK "List." Keep moving up the list that way. You will build strength and when you reach your #1 - it will be a piece of cake!

#2 Play the GOOD Video from your PAST
Too many people base their future on the past. You choose to do this by watching or reminding yourself that something negative happened. CHOOSE to look back at the good result. Choose to watch the movie that makes you feel good.

Give yourself credits rather than debits.

#3 Ask for HELP - Find a Partner

We all need help, but you have to ask for it from someone you can work out with in life and business. Who is your Dr. Phil? Who is your Oprah? Call them and discuss what is holding you back. You will be amazed at what this step can do for your mindset. Find someone who feels the same as you. Be accountable as a team to follow these steps.

#4 Set Time Frames
Do not wait to tackle these steps. Procrastination is the #1 disease of ATTITUDE, which has an effect on your ACTION, which has an effect on your RESULTS. Give yourself 30 days to develop a new habit like stepping out and stepping up.

#5 Evaluate PROs and CONs
What's the worst thing that can happen? Write down each PRO and CON on a sheet of paper. Do the PROs out weigh the CONs? Well, what are you waiting for?

#6 Ask - "What if I DON'T" instead of "What if I DID"
Stop asking what IF I do or DID. The more important question is "What if I DON'T?" Can you imagine waking up 10, 15 or 20 years from now living in REGRET?

That is a greater risk to me - TRY looking at your future as if the cup is half-full and not always half-empty.

#7 Commit to the PROCESS

Commit to change. Commit the challenge of just completing these EIGHT simple steps. Imagine how GOOD you will feel!

EXAMPLE: Remember that day when you PLANNED a workout and you made every excuse in the book NOT to workout? Now, remember that day when you felt the same way, but you ended up working out? What EMOTIONS do you remember FEELING?

Which ones FELT the BEST?

#8 GET MAD!
Sometimes we have to buckle down, we need to GET REAL and we need to get MAD at our own actions to become DETERMINED for change. The best part is this - It's only temporary!
