It has been said that if you BUILD something of VALUE, the people will come. In fact, if you build something of VALUE and others see the RESULTS, the masses will come. I would like to ask you a KEY question that may determine the VALUE people see in you and your business. WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENT? What is it that people see when they VIEW your SYSTEM? What is it that will attract the right people to your team?


Well, if you are stumbling to find the answer, read on.

Some years ago, a company decided to create a business MODEL based on their environment and not the price of their goods. They decided to create something of VALUE and at the same time create an atmosphere that would attract many walks of life.

This company started in 1971 and created the ENVIRONMENT that they wanted first. Now the company has 7,569 locations worldwide serving coffee, tea and many other items of interest. The company is Starbucks and YES they are doing extremely well after 30 plus years of business and their stock charts prove it.

The reason I am using this analogy is because it fascinates me to see so many of our younger generation are visiting these coffee "hangouts" even if they don't like the coffee.

It is a FACT that Starbucks built its business model based on the ENVIRONMENT and NOT the cost of the "latte." That being said, let's take a look at what you do.

You have a COMPANY, a PRODUCT or SERVICE and, of course, a COMPENSATION plan to share with your prospects so they can make a decision. Could you identify for me a few features and benefits of each of these? Of course you could; that's what you have been trained to do and your company provides the tools for you to do so while prospecting. My KEY question again for you is this?


WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENT? YOUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?

Take a few moments and write down a few HIGHLIGHTS of your SYSTEM. What unique tools do you have? How about special training events? How about special incentives for your team? How about lead programs? The list goes on and on.

No matter what you do right now to build your business and whether you are just starting or getting good at starting over, you can adjust your presentations a few degrees and hit a few more home runs because you are attracting more people to your business.


Here is the BIG clue?

SELL your prospect on your environment and your system.

You may ask "Why not SELL them on my company? My products and my services? My compensation plan?"

Your TOOLS for exposures should be doing that already. ONCE your prospect takes a LOOK and IF they show UP for the next appointment, call or meeting — then you SHOW the system and SELL the environment. One way to get more prospects to show up for these second or third exposures is to PRE-SELL the system and have them looking forward to learning how it works for them.
